A highly skilled dental surgeon and dental practitioner, Dr Anthony Mak has many years of experience working in some of Sydney's most renowned dental practices with some of Sydney's finest dental specialists. He now brings his unique skills in the fields of dental implants, cosmetic and restorative dentistry to his exciting new "W dental" practice at Woollahra as well as “Inner West Dental” in Five Dock.

Dr Mak is committed to the improvement of dental health awareness in his community. As a past graduate of Sydney Boys High School and the University of Sydney, Dr Mak has a good understanding of the key issues that directly affect the community around his Woollahra practice.

An outstanding graduate of dentistry from the University of Sydney, Dr Mak's dedication to perfection and tireless effort won him numerous accolades including the W. Alan Grainger Memorial Prize and the Astra Zeneca Pharmaceuticals Prize. He also won the John Stephen Hill Memorial Prize, the Dr Henry Bruce Maxwell Prize and the esteemed Rudolf Gunz University Medal. Dr Mak is a current member of the Australian Dental Association, Australian Osseointegration Society, International Association of Orthodontics and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and he was also a lecturer and clinical associate with the University of Sydney. Having an insatiable thirst for information and continued improvement has seen Dr Mak complete extensive additional study including a post-graduate diploma in Oral Implants at The University of Sydney. He has also travelled to New Zealand and the USA to further his knowledge in the latest techniques of implants, orthodontics and cosmetic dentistry.

Dr Mak's extensive understanding of the specialist areas of orthodontics, implants, root canal and restorative technique means that his dental practice at Woollahra is not only able to cater for all aspects of general dentistry, but they will directly manage any complex dental requirement or reconstruction.

Being a great dental surgeon means more than just being able to perform outstanding surgery. To Dr Anthony Mak it means being honest, trustworthy, reliable and consistent. His clear, direct and caring approach instils a relaxed confidence in even the most reluctant patient. Dr Mak has instilled this philosophy into the W dental environment with personable and caring staff working in a fully renovated state-of-the-art practice which has been fitted out with the latest in comfort and high-technology equipment to ensure the highest standard of dental experience to all his patients.

As a ‘children's dental healthcare specialist', Dr Mak exhibits a gentle, personal and pain free approach which ensures even the most unwilling child (and their parents) will value their experience. Dr Mak continues to work closely with the community to raise the knowledge and awareness of dental healthcare by visiting schools, aged- care centres and participating in general community events.

Dr Adrian Mazzaferro graduated from University of Sydney. During his time there he was awarded the Anthony P Martin Prize for Excellence in clinical Endodontics (root canal therapy.)

Adrian enjoys all facets of dentistry, but he has a special interest in orthodontic cases and complex restorative procedures. He also has a passion for cosmetic dental transformations.

Most of Adrian’s dental experience has been in busy general practice taking care of both children and adults and doing a variety of different dental procedures which is what he really enjoys. Before studying dentistry Adrian qualified as a registered nurse so he can call upon his nursing experience to build up a rapport with children and very anxious patients.
